Update: Mid-Century high atop the Peninsula SOLD!

36 Oceanaire, located in Rancho Palos Verdes closed escrow on May 16. The sales price was $1,450,000. The buyer enjoyed the softening prices on the Peninsula, and got a great home for a 12% discount.
First of all, If anyone can identify the architect of this house, please let me know. Makes me think of Lloyd Wright, A. Quincy Jones, or Paul Williams? I’ll have to go to the city next week and pull the plans… Anyhow, this very cool 4 bedroom/3 bath home just came on the market. Perched high above the earth on the top of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, this 1963 built mid-century modern gem is listed for $1,650,000.

The home sits on a huge lot with a swimming pool, and great spaces to gather for drinks and more. A balcony runs the entire length of the front of the house allowing you to take in the Catalina Island views. I realize the price seems like a HUGE number, but really, if you can afford the mortgage, it is among the best deals in Palos Verdes (alot of upside potential).
