Vintage Furniture in Long Beach: 1333 Redondo Ave

If you are heading down to Orange County to check out the great exhibit Birth of the Cool at the Orange County Museum of Art, stay off the freeways and drive the Pacific Coast Highway. My wife and I took this route and there is so much to see and do in Long Beach. Located at Anaheim and Redondo is a new vintage furnishings warehouse appropriately called Warehouse 1333 (Long Beach is so literal). Of course, you should continue south on Redondo Ave to 4th Street, and check out all the great vintage stores there. The prices are pretty good, compared to the shops in Los Angeles. I recommend heading south on Redondo to Broadway for a quick drink at the world famous Reno Room. Vina Vamping at the Reno Room

Now that you are well lubricated, and found the perfect sofa for your mid-century modern home, you can enter the strange and magical world of coastal Orange County! This post was fun. I think I will add a new feature on Fridays highlighting mid-century focused weekend day trips. Let me know what you think.
