The dingbat apartment building are some of Southern California’s greatest architectural gems. I lived in a great example of a dingbat building in Koreatown for four years, and really enjoyed the mid-century modern elements. But that was a long time ago, today I am featuring this really cool building built in 1954 in Long Beach. It is located in Belmont Shores area and has eight 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartments.
One of the great features of this building is that the eastern exposure of the building is staggered to catch as much morning and early afternoon sun as possible. The building features big windows, and overall the complex is very nicely maintained. In Long Beach, parking is always a concern, and this building has parking for every unit!
Last sold in September 2004 for $1,950,000, this income property is making a profit! Very good investment, and as foreclosures in Long Beach increase, the rental market will get more competitive.
