Mar Vista Monday: 3552 Beethoven
Actually posting a Mar Vista mid-century modern home on Monday! Having taken the holidays slowly, and helping clients find homes has resulted in a slowdown in blog posts. Anyways, check out this very cool looking Gregory Ain designed home in Mar Vista. Originally built in 1948, this home features 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom in 1,256 square feet of living space. The lot size is 5,082 square feet, and the home is situated “sideways” on the lot for maximum privacy. The home site and the beautiful privacy fence protects the home from the noise and traffic of Beethoven Street. The home also has a pool, and has a built addition, most likely an office/bedroom. This home was last sold in September 1985 for only $172,500. The landscaping is tropical, yet clean and complements the home well. The exterior seems to have been remodeled with smooth stucco and a very contemporary color palette. Great curb appeal on a street with some tired looking mid-century gems. I really like this home.
